Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

This policy explains how Street RULZ Football handles personal information. Street RULZ Football is a trading name of The Trustee for Munro Family Trust (ABN 60 728 302 749), 40 Andrews Road, Tallebudgera QLD 4228 ("we", "us", "our"). It covers our website rulz.com.au, our bookings, competitions, parties, casual sessions and the venue.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) as a matter of good practice, and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) for marketing messages.

1. What we collect

  • Contact and booking details — name, email, mobile number, and what you book (court hire, a party, a team entry, a casual session), including dates, times and payment status.
  • Team and player details — team name, manager or captain details, and player or participant names and ages where a competition or waiver needs them.
  • Children's details — when a parent or guardian books a party, enters a junior team or signs a waiver for a child, we collect the child's name and age and the parent's or guardian's details. We ask a parent or guardian, not the child, to give us this information.
  • Health and safety information — only what you choose to tell us so we can run a session safely: allergies, dietary requirements, medical notes and an emergency contact. This is sensitive information and we only collect it with your consent.
  • Incident and injury reports — if someone is hurt or an incident happens at the venue: what happened, the injury and any first aid or medical treatment, witness names and contact details, and photos or CCTV of the area. This includes health information, which we collect with your consent (or where the law allows) to look after the people involved, fix hazards, and notify our insurer and, where required, Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.
  • Waiver records — your acceptance of our risk warning and waiver, your digital signature and the time you accepted.
  • Photo and video consent — whether you (or your child) are happy to appear in photos or video we publish.
  • Payment information — payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Messages — what you send us by email, website form, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram.
  • Website data — your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and cart activity, collected through cookies and similar technology. See our Cookie Policy.
  • Referee score submissions — team names, scores and the referee's name for league fixtures.

You can deal with us without giving your name where that's practical (for example, asking a general question), but we can't take a booking or enter a team without contact details.

2. Why we collect it

  • To take, confirm, change and run your booking, party or team entry, and to take payment.
  • To publish fixtures, results and ladders for competitions (team names and scores only).
  • To keep people safe — including urgent messages about weather, lightning, flooding or evacuation, and knowing about allergies or medical needs you've told us about.
  • To keep waiver and incident records, and to meet our legal, insurance and accounting obligations.
  • To answer your enquiries and handle complaints.
  • To send you news, offers and updates — only if you've agreed (see section 5).
  • To understand how our website is used and to improve it.

3. Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need:

  • Shopify — our website, online store, checkout and payments.
  • Cowlendar — our court booking calendar.
  • Google — email, calendar and the automated confirmations for bookings and parties; embedded Google Maps; and Google reviews shown on our site (through the Trustify reviews app).
  • Meta — if you message us on Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp, or join our WhatsApp community group.
  • Other apps that run parts of our store — for example Vitals (store features) and Shopify's own apps for messaging and forms.
  • Referees, coaches and venue staff — the team, player and party details they need on the day.
  • Our insurer, professional advisers, or authorities — where needed for an incident or claim, or where the law requires it.

Overseas storage. Several of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States, Canada and the European Union (for example Shopify, Google, Meta and Cowlendar). We choose established providers, but their handling of data is also governed by their own privacy terms.

4. Photos and video

We may take photos and video at the venue to promote Street RULZ. We only publish identifiable images of you or your child if consent has been given (for example, the photo consent option on our forms). You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, and we'll stop using those images in new material. If you'd rather not be filmed on the day, tell staff and we'll keep you out of shot.

Where CCTV operates at the venue for safety and security, footage is only viewed or shared for those purposes or where the law requires it.

5. Emails and messages

We send operational messages about bookings you've made — confirmations, draws, fixtures, changes and safety alerts. These aren't marketing.

We send marketing (news, offers, events) only if you've subscribed or otherwise agreed. Every marketing email tells you who it's from and lets you unsubscribe — reply UNSUBSCRIBE or use the link. We action unsubscribes promptly and keep a suppression list so you aren't emailed again.

6. How we look after it

We use reputable platforms with access controls, limit access to the people who need it, and delete or de-identify information we no longer need. Waiver, booking and incident records are kept for as long as we may need them for legal, insurance or tax purposes. No system is completely secure; if a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you and do what we can to reduce the harm.

7. Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete information we don't need to keep. Email admin@rulz.com.au or call 0412 766 696. We'll respond within 30 days.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll try to fix it. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
