Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 28 September 2026 (Australia/Brisbane)

  1. About Us
    • Trading name: Street RULZ Football
    • Business: The Trustee for Munro Family Trust (ABN 60 728 302 749), trading as Street RULZ Football
    • Facility: 40 Andrews Road, Tallebudgera QLD 4228 (private property)
    • Contact: admin@rulz.com.au — 0412 766 696
    • We hold public liability insurance. A certificate of currency is available on request.
    • In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” means the business above and, where the context allows, its trustee, related entities, directors, officers, employees, contractors, coaches, referees, volunteers and agents.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or any other right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

  2. Definitions
    • “You/Player”: Any participant, or any spectator you invite.
    • “Team Organiser/Captain”: The person making the booking on behalf of a group.
    • “Recreational Services”: Participation in sport for recreation within the meaning of ACL s139A.
    • “Activities”: all activities at the facility, including 5-a-side, 7-a-side and small-sided football; training, coaching, clinics, camps, holiday programs, tournaments and birthday parties; use of the courts, goals, equipment, clubhouse, canteen, viewing areas and walkways; and spectating inside the perimeter.
    • “Queensland time”: Australia/Brisbane (no daylight saving).

  3. Acceptance & Contract Formation
3.1 By booking, paying, checking in, entering the facility or ticking “I agree,” you accept these Terms.
3.2 If you are the Team Organiser, you accept on your own behalf and confirm you are authorised to provide player details and share these Terms with your group.
3.3 The Risk Warning & Waiver of Liability at rulz.com.au/pages/waiver forms part of this agreement and is incorporated into these Terms. Where both address the same subject they are read together; if they genuinely conflict, these Terms prevail.
3.4 Our workplace health and safety (WHS) duties are non-transferable; nothing here limits them.

3A. Team Organiser (Captain) — Authority & Responsibilities
a) 18+ & authority: You warrant you are 18+ and booking on behalf of your group.
b) Distribute Terms: You must share the Risk Warning & Waiver link with every player before play.
c) Player check-in: You must ensure each player (including substitutes) either:
(i) accepts via the booking/online link; or
(ii) scans the on-site QR and accepts digitally; or
(iii) for adults who have not completed (i) or (ii), reads the prominent entry signage and understands that by entering the courts and playing they accept the Waiver.
d) Minors: A parent/legal guardian must complete our waiver for any participant under 18 before they play.
e) Compliance: Ensure players follow staff safety directions, the footwear rule in clause 6, and the Flood, Fire & Emergency Evacuation Procedure.
f) Indemnity (administrative breaches only): To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify us for reasonable losses caused by your failure to perform (b)–(e). This does not cover our negligence, our WHS duties, or anything the law says cannot be indemnified.

3B. Player Acceptance (How Each Participant is Bound)
For each participant aged 18+, the Recreational Services Waiver (ACL s139A) applies if the participant accepts it by any one of the following before playing:

  1. ticking “I agree” in the booking or check-in flow; or

  2. scanning the on-site QR code and accepting digitally; or

  3. entering the courts to play after seeing prominent entry signage that states the waiver and links to the full Terms.
If you do not agree, do not enter or play. We keep acceptance records (timestamp, device and/or staff sighting).

  1. Booking, Pricing & Payment
4.1 Bookings are subject to availability and are secured on full payment.
4.2 Prices vary by court size (5-a-side/7-a-side) and time (peak/off-peak).
4.3 Unpaid or part-paid bookings may be cancelled.
4.4 If you book via a third-party platform, their terms apply in addition to these.
4.5 All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.

  2. Cancellations & Weather/Flood Impacts
    • 48+ hours before start: Full refund to the original payment method.
    • 24–48 hours before start: 50% refund.
    • Less than 24 hours before start, or no-show: No refund.
    • Safety closures (severe weather, flooding, mandatory closure): refund or credit — your choice.
    • Timing: Notice is deemed received when timestamped by our booking system or email server. All times are Queensland time.
    • Full cancellation and refund rules — including for competitions, parties and Kicks — are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
    • Consumer rights: This policy does not limit your ACL rights where services fail consumer guarantees.

  3. Footwear — artificial grass surface
Street Rulz is an artificial grass facility. You acknowledge and agree that:
    • Turf or astro boots are the recommended and correct footwear for the surface.
    • Moulded or studded football boots are permitted.
    • METAL STUDS ARE NEVER PERMITTED, on any court, at any time.
    • Playing in any other footwear is at your own risk.
    • Staff may direct any person in unsuitable or unsafe footwear to leave the court and may refuse participation until suitable footwear is worn. No refund is payable where a participant cannot play because of unsuitable footwear.
    • You are responsible for checking your own footwear, and that of any child in your care, before every session.
Shin pads are strongly recommended for all participants and required where staff direct.

  4. Player Conduct & Safety Rules
    • No sliding tackles.
    • Respect staff, referees and other players; no abusive, threatening or violent behaviour.
    • No smoking, vaping, alcohol or drugs on site. You must not participate under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
    • You must not participate if injured, unwell, or against medical advice.
    • Children must be supervised in accordance with clause 14.
    • We may refuse entry, stop a game, or require any person to leave for safety or rule breaches, without refund.

  5. Risk Warning & Assumption of Risk (Queensland)
Football is physically demanding and involves obvious risks including collisions with players, walls, fencing or goals; slips, trips and falls; sprains, strains, fractures; head and facial injury including concussion; heat illness; and in rare cases permanent disability or death. Playing at speed on an enclosed artificial surface is a dangerous recreational activity.
This is a risk warning for the purposes of the Civil Liability Act 2003 (Qld), including the provisions dealing with obvious risks and dangerous recreational activities. By participating you voluntarily assume those risks. These risks cannot be eliminated.

  6. Recreational Services Waiver (ACL s139A)
To the extent permitted by s139A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), the statutory guarantees under the ACL do not apply to any liability we may have for death or personal injury arising from our supply of recreational services.
This waiver does not apply to significant personal injury caused by our reckless conduct. Nothing in these Terms excludes non-excludable rights.

  7. Liability & Remedies (Non-Injury)
Except where the law says otherwise, for services other than claims for death or personal injury, our liability is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the services or paying the cost of re-supply (ACL s64A).
To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or losses caused by your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the facility.

  8. Flood, Fire & Emergency Evacuation
You must comply with our Flood, Fire & Emergency Evacuation Procedure. Evacuation diagrams are displayed on site and you are taken to have been made aware of them on entry.
You agree to follow all staff directions, alarms and signage immediately in an emergency, to proceed to the designated assembly point, and to ensure any child in your care does the same.
The Team Organiser must provide a reachable mobile number for urgent SMS alerts.
We may suspend play, clear a court or close the site at any time on safety grounds — including lightning, flooding or fire — and may require you to leave for non-compliance.

  9. Damage & Personal Property
You are responsible for damage you or your group cause to courts, equipment or facilities, and agree to reimburse the reasonable cost of repair or replacement. We are not liable for loss of or damage to personal property, including unattended valuables.

  10. Privacy & Communications
We collect booking and contact details for operations and safety, including urgent alerts.
Marketing communications are sent only with your consent and include an easy unsubscribe. Safety alerts are operational only. See our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details, including any CCTV use.

  11. Minors & Supervision
A parent or legal guardian must complete the waiver for any participant under 18 and accepts these Terms on their behalf. We do not rely on minors waiving legal rights.
Supervision: Children under 12 must have a responsible adult on site at all times, unless they are attending a supervised program (such as a coached clinic, camp or junior competition fixture) where Street Rulz staff are responsible for supervision for the published duration of that program. Outside those published hours, supervision remains the parent’s responsibility. Drop-off and collection times for supervised programs are published for each program and must be observed. Children not collected at the published finish time remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian.

  12. Injuries & Incident Reporting
    • In an emergency, call 000 first, then tell staff.
    • If you, or a child in your care, are injured at the venue, or you see an incident, tell staff at the desk before you leave.
    • An incident report must be completed within 24 hours of the incident, either at the desk or online at rulz.com.au/pages/incident-report. If the injured person can't do it (for example, they have gone to hospital), a parent, guardian, Team Organiser or witness can complete it for them.
    • Anyone with a suspected concussion or head injury must stop playing and must not return to play that day. A child with a head injury will only be released to their parent or guardian.
    • We use incident reports to look after the people involved, fix hazards, and notify our insurer and, where the law requires, Workplace Health and Safety Queensland. See our Privacy Policy.
    • Reporting or completing an incident report is not an admission of fault by anyone, and does not limit any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law.

  13. Photos & Media (Optional)
If you opt in, you grant us permission to use photos and video taken at the facility for promotion. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. If you do not opt in, tell staff and we will keep you and your child out of shot.

  14. CCTV & Security
CCTV may operate for safety and security. Footage is handled per our Privacy Policy and applicable laws.

  15. Late Arrival, Transfers & Substitutes
    • Late arrival: Your session ends at the booked finish time.
    • Transfers: Bookings are not transferable without our consent.
    • Substitutes: Substitutes must complete acceptance under clause 3B before playing.

  16. Competitions, parties and Kicks
    • Competitions (including Summer Fives): a team is entered when its $100 team admin cost is paid; it is non-refundable once fixtures are drawn. Game fees are charged per team per game as published for each competition. A team that is not at its court ready to play at its scheduled time forfeits that game (3–0 to the opponent) and its game fee still applies — giving notice in advance does not change this. Fixtures, results and ladders (team names and scores) are published on our website.
    • Birthday parties: parties run between 9:00am and 8:30pm. Inclusions, guest numbers and extra-guest fees are as published on the booking page when you book. Epic Pitch and VIP parties are held on our 7-a-side court (Court 7); Kick-Off parties on a 5-a-side court. You bring the cake. Confetti, glitter, silly string, piñatas, sparklers and open-flame candles are not allowed on the courts.
    • Kicks (casual sessions): paid at the desk on the day and run at the published session times.

  17. Complaints & Feedback
Raise issues with staff on the day, or contact us at admin@rulz.com.au or 0412 766 696. We aim to respond promptly and fairly.

  18. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (severe weather, flood, fire, power outage, pandemic, government direction), but we will apply clause 5 for safety closures.

  19. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. The version in force at the time of your booking applies to that booking. We avoid one-sided changes that would be unfair under the unfair contract terms regime.

  20. Severability
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, it is read down to the extent necessary, or severed, and the remainder continues in full force.

  21. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
